On May 8, a meeting on the 96th anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev was held in the Supreme Court
The Chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev made a speech on the great leader's life and activities. Chairman of the Supreme Court stated that the great personality of Heydar Aliyev, who made a decisive word in the world of great politics and solving the fateful issues of our state, was widely accepted; he noted the connection of the honorable life of the great leader, who was the architect of independent Azerbaijan, with the fate of our people.
In November 1995, the Constitution of independent Azerbaijan was drafted and adopted at a nationwide referendum under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev. This Constitution was the biggest step towards building a legal state. It provided a good foundation for establishing the basic principles of human rights and freedom.
The great political figure and statesman Heydar Aliyev made critical reforms to enhance the role of the judiciary in ensuring the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms. A three-tier judicial system has been established in the country, and completely new methods and techniques were used in the formation of the judiciary. Fair and transparent election for the post of judge stimulated the qualitative implementation of judicial legal reforms. The great personality Heydar Aliyev laid the foundation of legal, democratic and secular state building in Azerbaijan and developed it.
Chairman of the Supreme Court stated that the actions and deeds of the great man Heydar Aliyev live in the daily activities and the thoughts of people and underlined that these actions were successfully implemented by President Ilham Aliyev, a worthy successor of the political course of our genius leader, who led our people towards the peak of progress.
The participants of the meeting spoke about the different stages of the activities of the founder of our independent state Heydar Aliyev, expressed their memories and stated that his legacy will live on forever.
